80+ students from Santee and McKinley Elementary participated in the Shop with a Cop Foundations annual breakfast and shopping spree for meeting their reading goals. The Readers are Leaders campaign focuses on improving the literacy skills of students.
Uploaded Dec 13, 2018 to CommunicationsThe District in partnership with First 5 of Santa Clara County and the Franklin-McKinley Children's Initiative, a program of Catholic Charities celebrated the grand opening of the new Family Resource Center at Lairon College Prep Academy. This center will serve the Seven Trees Community with a focus on school readiness, healthy development, and family engagement. In addition, the campus also welcomed the new Wellness Center that will provide students with support services such as group and individual counseling. The Wellness Center will have social work interns and various community partners who focus on mental health services such as Uplift on site to provide direct services on campus.
