College Savings Programs

Franklin-McKinley School District (FMSD) is proud to offer different College Savings Programs for families. Going beyond FMSD's mission to ensure that all 8th-grade graduates are prepared for a college preparatory high school curriculum and have the skills to pursue university and/or career paths and lifelong learning, FMSD is partnering with Excite Foundation and CalKids to start a college savings program for all FMSD students.

Unique child savings account available to children of all ages in East San Jose. Includes incentives such as $50 deposited by Excite Foundation at opening and a $25 annual match! This state-wide program provides eligible low-to-moderate income public school students with a scholarship of $500 or more for college or career training.
