EDD Unemployment Insurance (UI) Due to current events, State Employment Development Offices are experiencing a large increase in claims filed and are extending our staff resources to keep up with the demand.  Take a look at the UI Checklist to see what information you need to gather for the application process. 
For faster service, use UI Online to file your claim, certify for benefits, and get payment information. 

Reasons for filing a claim include:

Social Security 
All local Social Security offices will be closed to the public for in-person services beginning Tuesday, March 17th, 2020. Secure and convenient online service remain available at www.socialsecurity.gov

Restaurant workers in need of financial assistance may fill out an application for the Restaurant Workers Relief Fund in English or Spanish

USBG National Charity Foundation 
Bartender Emergency Assistance Program: Bartenders, or spouse or child of a bartender who have experienced an emergency hardship.
Another Round, Another Rally Emergency Assistance/ARAR solicitud de asistencia de emergencia (Temporarily Paused) 
$500 relief grants for workers in the hospitality industry, dishwasher, bartender, server, busser, cheg, cook, sommelier, manager, host, concierge, cleaning staff, or barback.
Southern Smoke Restaurant Worker Relief Fund 
Southern Smoke is a nonprofit 501c3 charitable foundation. Our Emergency Relief Program provides emergency funding to those employed by or own restaurants or bars or are employed by a restaurant or bar supplier that are faced unforeseen expenses that cannot or will not be covered by insurance. We stand with those in our community and are committed to “taking care of our own”.

National Domestic Workers Alliance Coronavirus Care Fund
The Coronavirus Care Fund will provide emergency assistance for home care workers, nannies, and house cleaners.  El Fondo para Cuidados por el Coronavirus (CCF por sus siglas en inglés) proporciona $400 en ayuda de emergencia para trabajadoras de cuidado en el hogar, niñeras y limpiadoras de casas quienes califican y están experimentando dificultades económicas debido a la pandemia del coronavirus. La ayuda que provee el Fondo es para ayudarte a quedarte en casa y mantenerte segura durante la pandemia.
