TK and Young 4 TK are offered for free and is the first of a two-year kindergarten experience for children turning 5 during the 2023-2024 academic year.  TK is for children with birth dates from September 02, 2018 to February 28, 2019. If your child’s 5th birthdate is between these dates, you should enroll him/her in Transitional Kindergarten.

TK gives our youngest Kindergarten students a head start in instruction and provides them with an opportunity to learn and grow in an environment tailored to meet their academic and social needs.

In California, The Kindergarten Readiness Act (SB 1381) states that children must turn 5 years old on or before September 1 in order to enroll in traditional Kindergarten. Transitional Kindergarten is available at no cost to families.
