Corporate Challenge

The Franklin-McKinley School District is excited to announce the launch of a new initiative to expand after school programs, the Franklin McKinley Corporate Challenge. As the cost of living continues to rise in the Silicon Valley and working families struggle to put food on their tables, it is our commitment to provide extended, after school support that will keep students safe and help them to learn, explore and thrive.

“There are many parents working multiple jobs seeking after school academic support and a safe learning environment for their children while they are away at work. This initiative seeks to address this critical issue for working families. It is our goal to raise the funds necessary to be able to provide after school support to any family in need at any one of our school sites.” said Superintendent Juan Cruz.

We are able to offer the CORAL after school program thanks to our partnership with Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County at 15 of our 16 schools. However, with limited funding from the After School Education & Safety Program and the 21st Century Community Learning Centers grants, we are only able to serve approximately 25% of students in Franklin-McKinley School District.
