Purpose
The purpose of the Health & Wellness Committee is to recognize the link between student health and learning and to work collaboratively to provide a comprehensive program promoting healthy eating and physical activity for District students. The committee is charged with disseminating Health information to families including:
Newsletters
Handouts
Parent/guardian meetings
Outreach to parents/guardians
School websites
Reviewing and addressing District health-related issues, activities, policies, and programs
Meeting Schedule
The committee meets four times a year. All meetings are held at the District Service Center: 645 Wool Creek Drive in the Courtyard Learning Center. Meetings begin at 3:30 p.m. and end at 4:30 p.m.

Becoming a Member
The Health & Wellness Committee members are appointed by the principal at each school and is comprised of school nurses, school staff members, adapted physical education and general physical education teachers, food services staff members, and administrators:
