Mental Health

The physical, emotional and social well-being of a student is critical to their academic success and future accomplishments. Through collaborations with the Santa Clara County Department of Behavioral Health and other community agencies and partners, the Franklin-McKinley School District has established a sustainable infrastructure that maximizes resources and utilizes current staff to provide services to all students in the district.

School Linked Services

School Linked Services (SLS) offers on-site school-based services to heal and strengthen individuals, families and systems by addressing needs and risks faced by children, youth, and families.

Referral requests must be submitted to the School Linked Services Specialist at (408) 283-6090 or who will work with the parent/guardian to identify appropriate services. The School Linked Services Specialist will make contact with the parent/guardian within 5 business days of receiving the initial request.

Reasons for referral include: Change in academic performance, chronic absenteeism, stress, grief and loss, self-harm, suicidal ideation, sudden change in behavior, drug and alcohol abuse and mental health concerns.
