The US Department of Education reports that the number of STEM/STEAM jobs in the United States will grow by 14% from 2010 to 2020, growth that the Bureau of Labor Statistics terms as “much faster “ than the national average of 5-8 % across all job sectors.
Recognizing the large need to expose students to a high quality STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) learning environment, Sylvandale Middle School will be unveiling their latest interactive lab. The STEAM Lab will be available to students at the Middle School to explore careers in computer science, coding, digital media, and much more.
