Sylvandale Junior High School within the Franklin-McKinley School District promotes high aspirations for all students and staff.

Our mission is to create a safe, caring, and respectful community for learning in which all students achieve at or above grade level. This community will promote the recognition and appreciation of our diverse cultural heritage. Students will be supported in achieving individual excellence and lifelong learning habits, as they become productive citizens.

Sylvandale has several opportunities for parents to be involved in PTSA, Parent Institute, Saturday Academy and several school committees, such as School Site Council, ELAC and DLAC. Sylvandale also has a drop-in parent center where parents can obtain information about community resources.
