Stonegate Elementary School is located in San Jose, California and is a part of the Franklin Mckinley School District. Our student population has a very diverse ethnic makeup that brings a richness of cultures to our campus. 

Mary Akin has been principal at Stonegate School for the past four years.  She has been an elementary principal as well as district level administrator for a total of 15 years.  Before coming to Franklin-McKinley School District Ms. Akin worked in Pajaro Valley Unified School District and San Lorenzo Valley Unified, both in Santa Cruz County.  She completed her masters degree in education, along with her administrative credential at Santa Clara University in 1996.  Ms. Akin brings a wealth of experience to Stonegate in the area of supervision, budget management, program development, and school safety/positive environment.  She welcomes your feedback about Stonegate School and can be reached by email: mary.akin@fmsd.org or by phone: (408) 363-5633.
