We, the George Shirakawa School community, are a diverse group of caring, energetic, and motivated individuals. We are here to provide a safe environment, support each other and foster a love of learning. We will accomplish this by providing consistent, creative, positive role models and learning opportunities.

It is an honor and a pleasure to be the Principal of George M. Shirakawa, Sr. Elementary School. We have outstanding students, staff and parents. I am extremely proud of the pride, self-discipline and commitment to excellence that our Shirakawa family represents. It is this commitment that makes Shirakawa an exemplary school.
 
I would like to thank our eighth grade students for being good leaders and role models and I challenge our future eighth graders to exceed these standards. I remember my first year at Shirakawa and the nice students that welcomed and helped me get to know our school. Your thoughtfulness and kindness will never be forgotten. In addition, I challenge each of you to continue to be the best that you can be. Remember, the future is in your hands.
