Home – School Communication
Throughout the school year, check your child’s backpack for homework and important communication from your teacher and the school. At the end of every month a calendar of events will be sent home with your child.
Every three months you will receive a newsletter from me. This newsletter will tell you about important events and occurrences happening at Ramblewood. It will also keep you updated about revised dismissal times or upcoming holidays.
Our motto here at Ramblewood it to “Be the Best You Can Be”! All children are asked to think about that on a daily basis. If every individual, (including the entire Ramblewood Staff), arrives at their place of employment every single day with this attitude on their mind....everyone will be successful.
Again, welcome to Ramblewood and to a very successful year!

Child Nutrition Services Information for Parents
The application for the lunch program will not be included in the registration packet again this year. If you are interested in applying for free or reduced lunches, it will be necessary for you to go directly to the cafeteria to get the application. A parent brochure will be included in the registration packet and will be full of important information. The folowing information comes directly from the Child Nutrition Services Office:
Please Note:
1. There is a $0.25 increase for the regular priced student breakfast and lunch and adult meal prices. Milk remains the same $ 0.50
2. Returning students must submit an application if they are not directly certified. Their status from last school year will be used until Sept. 29th. If a new application is not received by that date, they will be charged full price for their meals.
3. Kindergarten and new enrollees will be the first priority in the application approval process. They must pay full price for their meals until the application is approved.
4. There are several students that still owe the cafeteria money from last school year. The balance due must be paid in full before the students are allowed to select an entrée of their choice at lunch time. These students will receive an alternate meal, which consist of the salad entrée choice of the day (as shown on the menu), a milk, and he/she can serve themselves from the food bar.
If you have any questions, you can contact the Child Nutrition Services Office @ 283-6181.
Fundraising Still in Effect for 2008-2009 School Year
Ramblewood is collecting Labels for Education, sponsored by Campbell's. Containers for the deposit and coupons are in our front office.
Have you signed up at Target yet? More importantly, have you designated Ramblewood as your school at Target? When you do so, and use your Target card, a percentage of your purchase is donated to Ramblewood.
Mark your calendars and save your electronic/electric waste, we're having another fundraiser!! We have scheduled the electronic waste recycling truck to be on our campus on November 1st. This is a fabulous recycling program and we are very happy that they will be here. This program is based on weight, so the heavier the products, the more we earn. If you are thinking of getting a new dishwasher, then bring your old one to the fundraiser. More information about the variety of items that will be accepted will be coming as soon as we know.
Thank you for your support!
