Aurora Garcia (Principal)

McKinley Elementary School aspires towards high academic proficiency, and to prepare all students for their future including higher education.  Our school promotes respect and safety for all through the set school norms and clear expectations.  The success of our student is strengthened by the commitment of the students, staff and parents, and by the many community partnerships including; First Five, San Jose State University, CommUniversity, Catholic Charities, The City of San Jose, and the United Methodist Church of Los Gatos.

The goal at McKinley School is to prepare all students to become contributing members of our ever-changing society.  Thinking Map® is a research based instructional strategy used school-wide as a vehicle to develop academic vocabulary, organize the students’ thinking, and improve their metacognitive ability.
