The Franklin-McKinley School District believes parent engagement plays a critical role in the academic success of students. During the 2017-2018 school year, there will be various parent engagement opportunities such as English as a Second Language Programs to Active Parenting Classes.
We encourage all interested parents to apply. All programs are open to Franklin-McKinley School District parents. Priority registration will be given to parents whose children attend the school in which the program is taking place.

Family Engagement Day
Achieving excellence and well-being of students begins with strong family to school relationships. Join us for a day of workshops, guest speakers, and family activities. All FMSD families welcome. English as a Second Language Program
English as a Second Language Program is a semester long program for parents who have limited English proficiency. Parents who participate in the CBET program will improve in the following areas:
Improve English Listening, Speaking, Reading & Writing Skills
Increase Communication with the School Staff & Child
Improve Understanding of the School System
At the completion of the semester long program, parents will be receive a Certificate of Completion. Click here for the application and program flyer. Applications are due no later than September 8, 2017.
