RAMBLEWOOD’S DECEMBER & JANUARY NEWSLETTER
School Safety: Along with your child’s academic progress, their safety is important to us too! This is just a quick reminder that parents are to check in at the front office before entering the campus. This includes the time before school starts. All parents are required to wait at the gate entering the playground, not on the blacktop, when they are dropping off their children at school.
Parking Lot Safety: When you are dropping off and picking up your children, drive slowly! If you are using the loading/unloading zone be sure to stay in the driver's seat of your car. Drivers dropping off and picking up students need to stay in their cars. Do not park cars in the red zone at any time for any reason.
Pedestrian Safety: If you park in the parking lot and walk to the front of the school to pick up your child, you need to watch for traffic before crossing. The safest way to pick up your child is to use the sidewalk and park in the stalls connected to the sidewalk. The other area to park is on Dundale Drive behind the school. The back gate is open so that you and your child can walk safely to your parked car. Do not walk down the driveway to get to your car, walk on the sidewalk! Use the sidewalk!
Remember to drop off your child between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. They may be dropped off at 7:30 a.m. for breakfast or after 7:45 a.m. if they are not eating breakfast. There is no supervision at school prior to 7:30 a.m. It is not safe to leave your child in front of the school unsupervised.
Our school needs your help in enforcing our uniform. The parent will be called if your child comes to school out of uniform. Remember that every Friday is a “Free Dress” day.
